With today's server save, we implemented a feature against trashing which
allows you to browse through all items that are placed on a certain
field.
To do so, right-click (classic controls: Ctrl + any mouse button) onto a
spot on the map and select "Browse Field" from the context menu. A
window which looks like a container with 30 slots will open up in your
sidebar. There, you can see the 30 bottommost items that are moveable or
a container. If there are more than 30 items piled up on a field, you
can click through all of them page by page.
You can take out any item from a pile via this window and it is also
possible to open containers via this window (e.g. depot box, corpse).
However, it is not possible to move around items within this window or
add items with drag&drop.
We also implemented another change with today's server save. If someone
owns a house or a guild hall and his account gets scheduled for
deletion, sub-owners and invited guests of the house will immediately
lose the right to enter it.
Update: Most of you probably guessed it already, this spring patch teaser was an April Fools' joke. Did you also pull a prank on April 1?
Even though spring is a long time coming in Germany, this year's spring patch is getting closer.
The medieval fantasy world of Tibia is a rough and dangerous place, and
surviving in such a cruel world should be a constant struggle. In order
to emphasize the harsh and unforgiving character of the Tibia universe,
the upcoming spring patch will bring along a couple of new roleplay
features involving death. More precisely, the death of your character.
• Ships and Carpets: Travelling by boat or carpet is a fast way
to get around in Tibia, and also quite a safe one. At least, it was
until now. Whenever you board a ship or take a carpet ride to travel to
another place, there is a risk to get hit by a heavy thunderstorm on
your way which will rip apart your ship or carpet. As a ship passenger
you will drown and your dead body will wash ashore on one of the beaches
along the shipping route. As a carpet passenger you will plummet from
the sky and your dead body will hit the ground somewhere along the
carpet route.
Since a force of nature is a sign of the gods, no blessings will be
effective and you will suffer the full death penalty. However, you will
not re-spawn in the temple but right next to your dead body so you can
at least reclaim your lost items.
• Pitfalls: Falling down a pitfall hurts, doesn't it? It
certainly will from the spring patch on. If you fall down one of these
holes there is a high risk for your character to break a leg. This
injury will slow down your character to the speed of a level 8 for one
week since it takes some time for a leg fracture to heal. However, you
will be able to travel at your usual speed on the back of a mount unless
you fell down the pitfall on a mount. In that case, your mount will
also suffer from an injury slowing it down for one week.
• Swamp Fever and Animal Rage: If you kill feverish citizens in
Venore you might catch the swamp fever from them. In addition, bites
from roaming cats and dogs may also infect you with this disease. While
the normal swamp fever can be cured, the form spread by those creatures
is far more aggressive and ultimately fatal. Once infected, your health
will continually decrease until your hit points have reached zero. There
is no way to outheal or slow down this effect, your character will die
after two hours have passed. The character death will be like a normal
death so blessings will be effective and you will re-spawn in the temple
of your home town.
• Hungry: From the spring patch on, you should make sure to
feed your character if he is hungry. If you leave him in a hungry state
for three full days, he will starve. The character death will be like a
normal death so blessings will be effective and you will re-spawn in the
temple of your home town.
Are you prepared to face your destiny, Tibians? Will you face these new
dangers with courage or will you cower and cry in a dark corner? Tell us
in our feedback thread in the Auditorium which will be started on
Tuesday since Easter Monday is a public holiday in Germany.
After we added the HARD acronym to the login page a few days ago, we
received feedback from players telling us that the choice of words could
be improved, and that we should better scrap the idea of creating an
acronym out of the catch phrases. Ouch!
While we do want to have some catch phrases about Tibia's heart and soul
there, we are, of course, open for suggestions. In fact, we would like
to turn this into a small contest! We have started a thread in the
Auditorium in which you can submit your ideas for distinctive catch
phrases that capture Tibia's core features and what you like about the
game.
Please note that we will only accept reasonable submissions so this
contest is not the right occasion to voice your anger or criticism. We
are looking for short, positive, and unique phrases which carry the
Tibia spirit and help to distinguish the game from others. And no, their
initial letters do not have to form "HARD". The deadline for
submissions is on Wednesday, March 20, at 12:00 CET.
Out of all constructive submissions, we will randomly draw 20 posts and
reward their authors with 30 days of premium time. Also, we will hand
over all constructive suggestions to Tibia's product managers and the
marketing manager. Who knows, maybe your catch phrase idea will soon
grace the login page!
If you feel like participating, please thoroughly read through the guidelines we posted in the designated thread.
The orange wizard Furb of Fun, the violet wizard Feiz of Power, and the
green wizard Fern of Nature are about to rekindle their rivalry once
again in the upcoming Colours of Magic event to find out which of them
gets the most followers.
From the server save on March 15 on, various monsters will drop envelopes with red, blue, or yellow powder.
We adjusted the colouring rules a bit in order to make them less
confusing. Also, the ingame information about how the event works was
revised to more comprehensible.
If you want to know what was changed, check our feedback thread in the Auditorium.
If you are interested in some facts about the event, just ask one of the
loyal fans of the wizards. Green wizard fan Nathaniel can be found in
Venore. Friedolin favours the orange wizard and waits for you in Carlin.
Paulette is an admirer of the violet wizard and can be met in Thais.
By taking part in this event, you can now collect bonus points which you
can trade with Nathaniel, Friedolin, and Paulette after joining a
wizard. Get your hands on exquisite Zaoan chess figurines made of jade and obsidian, collect the whole set, and store them in a filigree chess box!
As you may know, each of the three wizards also offers a special world
reward. Depending on the wizard with the most followers on your game
world on March 23, server save, your world will benefit from one of the
following three rewards for one week:
• Furb of Fun: The shared experience bonus in party mode will
be raised by 30%. The chance to successfully sculpt from ice cubes and
marble will be multiplied by 10. Also, fireworks rockets, party
trumpets, snowballs and party hats can be found in all the creatures
which dropped envelopes.
• Feiz of Power: The majority of spellcaster creatures such as
ice witches or draken spellweavers, for example, will give 25% more
experience points. In addition, the skill bonus of berserk and bullseye
potions will be raised to +7, and the shielding decrease will be set to
-8 instead of -10. The magic level bonus of mastermind potions will be
raised to +5.
• Fern of Nature: All health and mana potions will be enhanced by 10%.
We implemented a number of content changes with today's server save in order to address points of feedback we received.
• Numerous daily tasks can now be repeated every 20 hours so you do
not have to wait 24 hours anymore. The following tasks were changed: - Rottin Wood: Lucky Loop, Handyman - Sinclair: Spirithunters - Curos: Milk Delivery, Honour the Dead, Foul Spirits, To Feed a Beast - Lazaran: Magic Mushrooms, Two Orcs with One Stone, Colour Me Good - Chartan: Forbidden Fruit - Zalamon: Zzuppliezz, Zze Art of War
• Likewise, the interval for some items was changed from 24 hours to 20
hours. The following items are affected: obsidian knife (Uzgod), tome of
knowledge (Cael), mysterious/enigmatic voodoo skull. Also, flower pots
can now be watered once every 20 hours.
• Missions in the "War against the Hive" quest are now independent
from each other. Thus, you can have several missions activated at the
same time. Also, the four basic missions now grant 1000 experience
points each (up from 400). The two advanced quests which are available
in the higher stages of the hive war now reward 1500 experience points
each (up from 800).
• Creatures with corpses that previously looked like player corpses
now have unique corpse graphics. Check the screenshot below to see a few
example.
• We made a few changes to improve the world event "Colours of Magic".
Besides some adjustments to make colour mixing and wizard joining less
confusing, it is now possible to get individual rewards via a bonus
point system. More information about these changes will be published in
the upcoming news article featuring this event. Stay tuned!
• Attention fishermen! The shimmer swimmer retreated back into his
natural habitat, which is lake Equivocolao near Port Hope, and can no
longer be caught outside Tiquanda.
• Also, a couple of map bugs were fixed.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for continuously
providing us with ideas and suggestions on how to improve Tibia. Keep it
up, we really appreciate constructive feedback!
Dear Tibians, today we would like to share some good news with our followers of our official Facebook page.
From today on, it is possible to play the Tibia Flash client using your
Facebook data.
Along with the implementation of this feature, we have revamped our
landing page in order to improve and speed up the login process.
If you do not have a Tibia account yet, you can now easily log into the game by using the Facebook Log in button on our landing page
whilst you are logged into Facebook. A new Tibia account will be
created automatically, and the Flash client will start instantly. If you
log out of the Flash client, you will be directed to your account
management page where you will have the option to extend your account.
There, you can set a password and manage your account.
If you already have a Tibia account and want to connect it to your Facebook profile just log in with your Tibia account, go to your account management page, and
click on the Facebook button in the new section Facebook Linkup.
Of course, it is possible to remove your Facebook linkup afterwards
again. In addition, please note that you can only connect your Facebook
account with one Tibia account in case you have more than one Tibia
account.
Furthermore, we have updated our manual section with further information about the new Facebook integration.

"Do you remember the feedback form "If you could change one thing, you...." from November 2012? In this featured article, we will present you some of the results, so if you are interested, read on!"
Attention, attention! Are you looking for a new mount to accompany you on
your adventures? The steelbeak is just the right thing for the
avant-garde warrior. A ferocious creature made of steel, forged in the
heat of Kazordoon's furnaces, and hardened by the hammer of war.
If you buy a package of 6 or 12 Premium Scrolls between March 1, 2013, 15:00 CET, and March 15, 2013, 23:59:59 CET,
you will get the intrepid steelbeak mount as a bonus in addition to the
premium features. Please note that buying Premium Scrolls ingame or any
combination of smaller packages will not get you the mount!
You can find the special offer box on your account page. If you use the
Tibia payment system or element 5 to buy a Premium Scroll package, the
date that matters for the special offer is the day on which you order
the package. If you buy Premium Scrolls via a reseller, the date that
matters is the day on which we receive the payment. In case of a game
code it is the date on which you redeem your code on the official Tibia
website.
You will be able to assign the mount to one of your characters via your account page as soon as we have received your payment.
Please carefully read the FAQ in the Auditorium to avoid any misunderstandings. If you still have any open questions or doubts, feel free to ask!
Sweet tooths of the world, unite! Tomorrow, February 21, the world event "A Piece of Cake" will start again.
Stop the invasion of the tasty cake golems in Thais, Liberty Bay,
Carlin, Edron, and Darashia.
Kill them to get enough sweet and sugary substances, and lure them into
the cake extractor machines you find in the mentioned cities to get
access to the legendary cake island near Cormaya.
Once you are there, you have to munch a giant cake in order to succeed.
However, this is not a cosy feasting. You only have time until server
save, February 26, to polish off that massive cake.
If you manage to eat it all, your world will be rewarded with 25% more
health and mana regeneration for five days and an experience bonus of 5%
for five days. After your game world was successful, a new NPC, Brutus,
will visit the cake island, and will offer you a special reward if you
are willing to follow his further instructions.
Get your cake forks and let the munching begin!
