Tibia turns 15 today!
What a milestone! Hip, hip, hooray!
Another year is coming to a close and the festive days are almost here,
Tibians. They will give us all a little time to rest, recharge and enjoy
moments with our loved ones.
The season of giving is also a great time to think about helping others
who are less fortunate than ourselves and those who are in need. For
years, CipSoft has been supporting regional, national, and international
aid projects and organisations through donations. Therefore, we are
excited to announce a holiday charity campaign which will run from today
on until January 05, 2012, 15:00 CET. During this time, EUR 0.10 of
each payment we receive will be donated to UNICEF. Whether you pay for
premium time or an extra service, whether you use the Tibia payment
system or a reseller - if we receive your payment in the aforementioned
time frame you will support UNICEF with your purchase.
We also want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your
continuous support, commitment and for being a part of the Tibian
community. Make sure to keep yourself warm and cozy on cold, wintry
days. If you do not live in a snowy climate, enjoy the warmth! We wish
you a happy holiday season full of joy and cheer, and a prosperous 2012!
We are looking forward to a new year full of great Tibia moments and
exciting adventures.
With the new patch we have addressed the scam issue in the market that
was reported by many players.
The following adjustments have been made to make offers more clear:
•If the price of a sell offer is more than 25
percent above the average market value the offer will be marked red, but
only if there is enough statistical data available.
•If the price of a buy offer is more than 25
percent below the average market value the offer will be marked red, but
only if there is enough statistical data available.
•Furthermore, a mouse-over shows, if the offer
is dubious.
•In addition, the amount, the piece price, and
the total price are now separated by slashes in the stand-alone client.
•In order to clarify the piece price of an
item, the word "each" was added to all offers in the stand-alone
client.
The patch will download automatically when you log into the game. You can also download the new patch from our download section.
If you want to talk about the latest content fixes with other players, you can leave your comments in the thread Player Discussions: Content Fixes.
It is getting colder outside but we have something to keep you warm and cosy.
Finally, after months of waiting, the Tibia winter update 2011 has been
released. During the last few weeks, we gave you short overviews of the
new content and features. Before you log in to see for yourself, let us
sum up the highlights again:
Finally, a long awaited feature has found its way into Tibia: the market.
The market allows you to sell and buy items via fixed price offers.
While submitting offers is exclusively available for premium players,
all players can browse the market, search for good bargains and accept
existing offers. In addition, depots have changed a bit. Lockers now
include your depot chest, the new inbox and the market icon to open the
market window. In the new inbox, you will find your items from the
market and all your mail will be delivered there.
Do you have your wishlist ready? Or do you plan to finally sell all that stuff piling up in your depot box? Check the stand-alone client section and the Beta Flash client section in the manual for further information on how the market works.
If you would like to explore and experience new adventures before or
after your shopping spree in the market, the new island Quirefang may be
just what you are looking for. Once you have reached the Gray Beach,
strange stone statues will greet you and have some stories to tell.
Those of you who prefer underwater discovery should dive down deep into the sea. Enter the realm of the Deeplings,
sentient aquatic creatures who worship their god-king Qjell and are
about to rise from the deep to conquer the surface. Take on the
challenges ahead of you, and make your way from the bottom of the sea up
to the ancestral grounds to finally face Qjell's personal guards. Tame
the majestic manta ray and earn the right to dress up like a creature of
the deep.
If you prefer the buzzing atmosphere of a hive, you should rather leave the Gray Beach on Quirefang northbound. The Hive Born,
an insectile breed created to bring destruction, have claimed the
territory consuming everything around them and turning it into a
swarming wasteland. Do you dare to venture into the hive? Do you have
what it takes to defy the dangers lurking out there? Face your
creepy-crawly fears by wearing a humming, insectile outfit and riding on
the back of a lady bug.
In addition to the new area full of monsters and challenges, even
experienced adventures who know the Tibian lands inside out might
stumble across a surprise every now and then. A whole lot of mini world changes
can now occur randomly all over Tibia. Before you know it, your help
might be needed to catch a bank robber or bring back little Noodles, for
example. Also, mind your surroundings... a volcano might erupt, a river
might be flooded, and snow might melt away sooner or later.
A couple of further changes and fixes have been implemented with this update which we have listed in the Auditorium so make sure to take a look.
The update will download automatically when you log into the game. You can also download the new stand-alone client version 9.4 from our download section.
Set out on new adventures!

Christmas is coming and Santa Claus needs your help! Santa is late with the Christmas services and he needs somebody to help him with all his duties, but he has no idea who could be the most adequate helper, therefore, he needs indications of creatures that could serve as auxiliary! To help him, you have to introduce him a creature and justify why that creature would be a good helper. The best suggestions will be gifted by Santa Claus according to the reward list below. What are you waiting for? This is your opportunity to ensure your Christmas present participating on our newest contest.
Example:
Cyclops Drone
The Cyclops Drone would be the perfect helper to Santa Claus this Christmas! I’ve heard that this year Santa beat the record of requests and the presents are getting bigger and heavier. For that, nothing more adequate than a big, strong and used to carry weight helper. Also it is noteworthy the fact that it has two more arms, allowing it to get much more presents at once and making Santas's deliveries without needing to "replenish stock" so often.

Another
week has passed, we are getting closer to the release of the winter
update, and most of you have probably already spotted screenshots or
even videos of the new content and features on fansites.
Besides
the market and the new island Quirefang on which you can face both the
Deeplings in their underwater realm and the Hive Born in their buzzing
colony, the winter update will bring along a whole lot of mini world
changes. These small events and changes occur randomly all over Tibia. Let us hear what the famous towncryer of Thais has to say about it:
"Hear
me! Hear me! Tiquanda's elephants are terrified, the Ape God's
footsteps are a scary sight. So hunt for theirs tusks while they are
filled with fright!"
"Hear
me! Hear me! Stand and deliver! That's what they shout, robbing banks
in main's coastal towns and then hide out. Catch the thieves and make us
proud, bring back the gold to please the crowd!"
"Hear me! Hear
me! Ankrahmun's desert is the nomads' land. Find their camp in the
golden sand, and a treasure may be close at hand!"
"Hear me! Hear
me! Mammoths silently watch as the snow melts away. It reveals special
flowers which are not meant to stay. Grow their seeds to brighten up
your day!"
"Hear me! Hear me! In Zao Steppe the river runs deep. If you catch a strange fish it is yours to keep."
"Hear
me! Hear me! Noodles is gone, the King in despair! Find the little
rascal, look everywhere. Bring him back to get rewarded for your care!"
"Hear
me! Hear me! What a lucky and beautiful day! Visit Carlin, Ankrahmun,
or Liberty Bay. Yasir, the oriental trader might be there. Gather your
creature products, for this chance is rare."
"Hear me! Hear me!
North of the Queen's town, the royal trees are cut down. Will you deal
with the suspect or report such kind of disrespect?"
"Hear me!
Hear me! The vulcano on Goroma is spitting fire. Creatures are spawning,
strong and dire. Lava is heading up the land. Adventurer, be careful or
it will be your last stand!"
"Hear
me! Hear me! It is Kingsday, people, let us celebrate and sing!
Decorate Thais and let the bells ring! Come to the arena to hear the
swords cling. Let us rejoice! Hail to the King!"
"Hear me! Hear
me! A river is flooding, south of the outlaw base. Explore a new isle,
an unknown place. Don't be afraid, but ready your blade."
"Hear
me! Hear me! The witch Wyda seems to be bored. Pay her a visit but
sharpen your sword. She might come up with a terrible surprise, are you
brave enough to believe your eyes?"

Quirefang before the release of the winter update:

the test server for the winter update. All necessary information and
instructions can be found on the test website so make sure to have a look. The

Some months ago, the dwarfs of Kazordoon found a new way from the outer mines of Kazordoon to Thais using a steam ship.
Besides this new travel route, a strange and mysterious dungeon was
discovered. An unknown area, controlled by an even more mysterious race.
Walking fishmen ...the Deeplings.
While deep under the throne of emperor Kruzak, brave adventurers started
to fight against the aggressive Deeplings, some other weird discovery
was made south-west of Kazordoon. Some giant insectile creatures were
sighted near the village of Greenshore. It seemed as if they are trying
to create a new home, a dreary and barren one...
Since then, skirmishes with both races have been going on and so far
Tibians could only speculate where these creatures came from and what
they want...
This winter, you will have the chance to lift the secrets of both races.
Last week, we already presented you the home of the Deepling race and
told you about their fascinating but underwater world. However, what is
to be found on the surface of Quirefang?
Leave the Gray Beach northbound. It will not take long until strange and weird sounds fill the air... Flzlzlzlzlzlzlz! Iiiiieeeeeeh! Klk! Klk! Sssschrchrsss!... It will not take long until the landscape change into something you
have never seen before. It will not take long until you face the
vanguard of the other race...

Beware adventurer! Make sure you are well armed, ready for battle, and
experienced enough, because you are entering the territory of the Hive
Born: an old, insectile, strong, and aggressive breed, created as a
living weapon, created to bring destruction, created to fight without
fear, created to purge the whole world...
Left and forgotten by their creators the Hive Born are competing with
the Deeplings for the supremacy of Quirefang. While the Deeplings are
trying to get to the surface, the creepy-crawlies are digging deeper and
deeper.
Are you man enough to explore the wasteland and face those deadly
creatures? Will you dare to fulfil all required and dangerous missions
to get deeper into the hive and fight even stronger monsters? Or will
you cowardly flee because you cannot stand the noise of clicking
appendages, cannot stand the disgusting smell of this breed, cannot
stand the look of scary swarmers, crawlers, spitters, waspoids, and even
more nasty creatures?
