The winter update is getting closer so
it is time to test the new content and features together with players. A
private test server for the upcoming winter update has been started to
which tutors, senators, fansite representatives, focus group members and
the former closed beta testers have been invited.
If you are among those players, please carefully read the information provided on the test website
before you hop on. You can also find all necessary links there. Please
note that only testers from the private test may post in the forum
there.
Several weeks ago, we invited you to take part in the "Caption This!" contest, and we had a great response to it: more than 1000 creative captions for our screenshot were submitted.
Out of all entries, we community managers picked our top 15 and put them in a poll for you to vote on your favourite. Today, we would like to present you the top three captions and their authors.
Alluria's caption received the most votes. The royal paladin from Calmera certainly knows how to write a catchy advertising slogan: From eyeantastic bonelords to eyeless not-less-dangerous death traps,
threats are worth keeping an eye on, even while in the comfort of your

A very close runner-up, with only a few votes less, is Gloom Under Night, an elder druid from Nerana who came up with a scene focused on the meaning of property:

Congratulations to the three winners! Each of them received 180 days of

This winter, you will find yourself in the midst of conflicting choices,
a struggle for power between the deeplings and another race which
reaches out to claim the land. Besides a few huntinggrounds that are
always accessible there, combined efforts and teamwork can unlock new,
tougher areas both for the deeplings and for the other race which will
be covered in our next teaser. Which faction do you want to advance
further? Make your choice, turn the tides, find out what is behind all
this.
Do your best to advance further and open up new passages to discover the
drowned library, the sulphur undersea lake and other parts of this
captivating underwater world. Find the graceful manta ray in the Lava
Grotto. On its spread-out wings, it can even carry those who are worthy.
Indulge your aquatic nature by earning the right to wear the splashy
deepling outfit.
Will you finally reach the ancestoral Grounds and be brave enough to
face one of Qjell's personal guards: Obujos, Tanjis, or even Jaul? Do
not understimate them or they will be the death of you.

Your basement is full of backpacks and boxes of stuff ready to find new
homes? Numerous things that you collected on your hunts pile up in your
room? You are looking for a particular item but do not have enough time
to check the advertising channel for a decent offer? You would like to
compare prices before you buy or sell something?
Whether you are a merchant at heart, an adventurer in need, or would
just like to trade with others in a secure, quick and convenient way,
the forthcoming winter update will certainly be of interest for you. It
will bring along a whole new feature to enhance your Tibia experience
further.
A place where you do not need to be present or even online to find a
customer. A place where you can sell and buy items from other players
for fixed prices. A place where you do not have to wait for offers but
can browse through existing ones instead: the market.
As you know, teaser information is always preliminary, and subject to
change. Nevertheless, we would like to give you a short glance on what
this new market feature is all about. So here we go:
• You can sell and buy items via fixed price offers for ingame gold.
• All players can browse the market for buy and sell offers and
accept them. You can search for an item by checking different
categories and using filters, or you can just search for its name.
• Submitting offers is exclusively available for premium players.
• While the market can be accessed and used both in the
stand-alone client and in the Beta Flash client, the clean, crisp
and shiny design of the market in the Beta Flash client is
definitely worth a look. Click on the screenshot to see how it will
look like in both clients.
• In general, you can sell or buy all takeable items that you can
store in your depot.
• A fee will be charged for every offer you submit: 1% of the
total price, but at least 20 gold coins and 1000 gold coins
maximum. Of course, these numbers may still change until the final
release.
• When submitting an offer all costs will be deducted from your bank account immediately.
Consequently, depots will also change a bit. After the winter update, a
locker will include your depot box, a new inbox and the market icon to
open the market window. The depot box will continue to work as before.
But what about the new inbox? While you cannot put anything into it, you
will find your items from the market there. Also, from the winter
update on, your mail will be delivered into this inbox.
So, it is time to clear your basement and check your wish lists! Will
you finally find that item you always wanted to buy but never got around
to it? Will you make a pretty penny or spend a fortune?

With today's server save, several fixes were implemented, for example:
•In order to address an issue where players
could be tricked into getting a skull, the following monsters cannot be
convinced anymore: centipedes, cobras, dworc fleshhunters, dworc
venomsnipers, dworc voodoomasters, insect swarms, lancer beetles, larvas,
poison spiders, scarabs, scorpions, snakes, swamp trolls, tarantulas,
toads, and wasps.
•Bleeding cure has been added to the effects of
hydra tongue salad.

Currently, some players cannot trade midnight shards for experience with
Lucius even though they have not yet traded the maximum of 40 shards this year.
We will address this issue with a small patch that will be released with
tomorrow's server save.
• After the patch, all characters who already
traded midnight shards for experience with Lucius this year, can trade up to
another 40 shards for experience with him this year.
• All characters who have not
traded any shards with Lucius this year are advised to take as many shards as
possible with them before they say "hi" to Lucius next time after the
patch. They can trade up to 40 shards with Lucius in that conversation. In
addition to that, they can also trade up to another 40 shards with him this
year.

Now, we have set up another picturesque Tibia scene, and we invite you
to come up with funny, witty, or heartwarming captions. Your caption may
contain up to 3 sentences and can be speech or thought bubbles, or a
short description of the picture. You decide. So get creative, there are
some sweet prizes up for grabs!
Submit your captions by posting in the designated thread until Monday, November 14, 14:00 CET. Make sure to read the contest rules before posting.
We community managers will then choose our top 15 submissions and
conduct a poll for you next week to vote on your favourite. The authors
of these 15 submissions will get a CM token as a sign of appreciation.
And there is even more to win: the submissions that come in 4th and 5th
place in the poll will be rewarded with 90 days of premium time each.
The authors of the top three voted captions will win 180 days of premium
time and a jester doll each. Also, these three winners and their
winning entries will be presented in a news article and on our official
Tibia Facebook page.

As the days get colder and the evenings grow darker, a little light can
go a long way. Team up with fellow Tibians during the upcoming
Lightbearer event: keep the lights in 10 fire basins burning to dispel
dark forces that are threatening the Tibian lands.
Your mission starts on November 11, server save, and ends with the
server save on November 15. Keep the flames alive for 96 hours to
succeed. But watch out: if a single light goes out, your world has
failed.
